Shrovetide with "Generals for Peace"

On March 14, 2021, "Maslenitsa", a traditional holiday, was celebrated in the city of Bishkek, which preserved some elements of Slavic mythology. It is celebrated during the week before Lent, which lasts 40 days. Next, Easter is celebrated.

Winter is giving up its rights, the townspeople meet the first spring days traditionally, with the Shrovetide! An event was held in Bishkek, which was attended by a huge number of Bishkek residents and guests of the capital. The mayor's office, with the assistance of the Head of the Department of Culture and Art of the International Public Association "Generals of the World - for Peace" Vladimir Vladimirovich Belkin, who directed the concert program of this holiday, gathered an excellent composition of musical and creative folk groups.

The Russian folk choir "Pryalitsa", the Belarusian ensemble "Svitanak", the folklore and variety ensemble "Kyrgyz Rukhu", as well as the children's exemplary dance ensemble "Smile", the folk ensemble of the Russian song "Raduga" and many others took part in the holiday program.

Both the maestro himself and his native collective, the Bishkek folk ensemble "Cossack Song", delighted the audience with their energetic and perky songs. The culmination of the holiday was the author's song by Vladimir Belkin, uniting all peoples-"City of Friendship - Bishkek!"

The coat of arms and the flag of the association proudly adorned the event and will be remembered by the townspeople as symbols of Peace, Friendship and Harmony! Bravo to Vladimir Belkin!
